We are stunned by the breathtaking photos captured at a recent wedding held at Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa so we just had to share them with you! Alec and T Photography were behind the lens for Dean and Courtnay’s romantic beach wedding with a poolside reception. Judging from the photos it appeared that the newlyweds and their guests really enjoyed themselves at Dreams Los Cabos. Even the photographers had a positive experience at our resort:
If you are looking for an all-inclusive resort in Los Cabos to host your destination wedding you may want to look into Dreams. Alec and I have not shot many weddings at the resort; I think around 5 or 6. It seems like every wedding we shoot at Dreams ends up with really amazing photos. The resort staff is always kind and easy to work with, which is a huge plus in my book. When you are planning your wedding you want to have it as stress free as possible. Courtnay and Dean look like they jumped off the pages of Brides Magazine! This couple was beautiful inside and out. It is always great when I get to witness a great couple getting a dream wedding!
Weddings are always an exciting part of our days at Dreams Resorts & Spas! We’re constantly going above and beyond to make sure our bride and groom’s special day is one they’ll remember forever. And as we’ve mentioned before, no one wedding is alike. They all bring their own uniqueness and traditions that make them even more enjoyable. For many brides, it’s the little touches that add to their day. Maybe it’s a creative wedding favor for guests, a fun DJ from their hometown, a trash the dress photo session or even the addition of a popular instrument.
Recently, we came across an awesome website called Mishka Designs that makes maracas for weddings in Mexico. To our surprise, many of our brides have had maracas made for their big day! Here’s a look at a few of them. Enjoy!

Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa is very excited to be included in the January/February issue of Bridal Guide! We took you behind the scenes this summer while the shoot was taking place now we want to give you a sneak peek of the finished product!
Today the Bridal Guide’s Fashion Editor, Naima DiFranco, shared the wonderful experience she and the fashion department had at the resort while shooting the magazine spreads. We are so proud of our Wedding Coordinator, Landy Cahum, for helping to plan the details. She was able to share her expertise about flowers, table décor and wedding cakes to make the shoot even more special. Don’t forget to pick up a copy of the magazine to see the full spreads!
It was another stunning day of shooting at Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa! The editorial and creative teams at Bridal Guide Magazine are so creative! Take a look at how they paired fashion, location and accessories to create looks that are totally glam…with a retro vibe.
Beach bombshell. The lifeguard stand was the perfect prop for this 50’s style gown. Very fun and flirty.
This shot included a classic all-American look with red shoes, white dress, blue pool and an old fashioned bottle of Coca-Cola.
A stroll down the aisle…or shuffle board court.
This shot had a very “Alice in Wonderland” feel with the resort’s oversized chess board as the setting. And notice the shoes…no bride’s look is complete without a pair of Dreams slippers!
Everyone was in love with this dress…and the look is very fitting for a destination wedding.
That’s a wrap for day two!
For the 3rd day of the shoot, the Mexico Tourism Board arranged for us to shoot at Xcaret (Riviera Maya’s top eco archaeological park). The theme for the looks will be very whimsical, and we are so excited to see how it turns out because the model will be posing with a flock of flamingos. Let’s hope they aren’t divas on the set! We’ve always known that Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa was the perfect backdrop for destination weddings, so we were beyond excited when Bridal Guide Magazine asked us to host their “on-location” editorial fashion shoot highlighting gorgeous options for bridal gowns and accessories. With additional partnership with the Mexico Tourism Board – we cannot wait to see these shots come to life on the magazine pages! Be part of the action with some behind the scenes shots…
Each day of the shoot has a distinct theme. The theme for day one was “elegant” featuring classic and timeless gowns and accessories that really wowed. It was impossible not to get lost in the story line of a gorgeous bride in stunning dresses and a handsome groom in sleek suits.
The first shot of the day was the couple (Bailey and Natalia – amazing models) walking along the beach:
Next up was the bride being serenaded by Mariachis. Listen to them sing! The whole team was loving it! This is the actual band that real Dreams Tulum brides use….aren’t they adorable?!
Next we moved over to the charming chapel. Bridal Guide loved the vibrant blue color and I think you’ll agree the bride really stood out. And notice the intricate doors. The shot provided the perfect mix of Mexican-hacienda with modern bride.

After a quick gown change the bride returned to the chapel, along with the groom. This shot is the epitome of chic:

We’re always thrilled to see the beautiful and creative wedding ideas that come out of our resorts! In fact, we were delighted when we stumbled on this blog post over at Style Me Pretty Destinations, a blog and resource site devoted to destination weddings. The article focuses on Bride Bailey and Groom Chad, who recently got married at Dreams Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa. The resort provided the perfect backdrop for their event, and all the details and scenery were captured impeccably by photographer Jillian Mitchell. The couple certainly embraced the beauty of the Riviera Nayarit and were able to create a uniquely personalized ceremony and reception that really wowed their guests (and us!).

The ceremony took place on the beach, framed by the Pacific Ocean and the Sierra Madre mountains.
Lush jungle surroundings provided the perfect scenery for photos.
The couple used the natural cliff-face as a backdrop for formal portraits.
The centerpieces and arrangements utilized authentic Mexican flora.
The patio at night was a perfect place to view the setting sun.

At Dreams Los Cabos Resort & Spa, it is our goal to make dreams come true for every couple who says “I Do” at our resort. Although all weddings at our resort are memorable, this particular couple had the opportunity to share a once in a lifetime experience with their wedding guests!
Throughout the year at Dreams Los Cabos, mother Caray Green Sea Turtles lay their eggs on our beaches. As part of our environmental efforts, we protect these nests until the baby turtles hatch and are ready to be released into the wild.
This bride and groom was fortunate enough that their wedding happened to fall on the same day that a group of baby turtles were ready to be set free. We worked with the couple to arrange a private turtle release as part of their wedding day celebration.
