Not just the grownups enjoy fine dining at Dreams Puerto Aventuras Resort & Spa; the children at the Explorer’s Club recently enjoyed Gala Dinner! Our staff went above and beyond to make the kids feel special for an evening of dining at the resort’s Italian Restaurant, Portofino.
The special night started out by letting the children’s parents know what we were planning and asked them to bring them to the Explorer’s Club dressed up. Adding to their formal attire we gave out neck ties and hats for the boys and sparkling tiaras for the girls, making them feel like princes and princesses.
When the group of young guests arrived at the restaurant they received VIP treatment. They were greeted with a mocktail, non-alcoholic beverage served in a fancy glass, and then shown to their reserved table. Their table was set with elegant yet kid-friendly decorations helping to set the mood for the special Gala Dinner. A tasty three-course meal was prepared and served by our Food and Beverage Team. Check out photos from the evening on our facebook page.
We love creating wonderful memories for our young guests. If you are visiting with your little one soon be sure to check the activities and event calendar at the Explorer’s Club so you don’t miss out on anything!

No one likes a cranky baby on an airplane! Not even Mother Goose can deal with a screaming, upset child on a jammed packed plane for three to five hours. To help avoid this catastrophe, we always recommend to parents that they pack some simple activities to keep their little ones busy the whole plane ride.
Here are some great printable games, activity sheets and puzzles that are sure to keep you little one entertained the entire trip:
Believe it or not, Thanksgiving Day is right around the corner. Here at Dreams La Romana we have been making plans so that our guests don’t miss any of the great food and other traditions during this very special holiday. The day will begin with the Thanksgiving Day parade in New York being broadcast live. After the parade, the kids will have a blast enjoying the many special events like turkey calling, themed arts & crafts, and history lessons with live ‘Pilgrims.’ As the sun sets, guests will enjoy a spectacular Thanksgiving feast with all the trimmings including: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries and pumpkin pie prepared by our talented chefs. We do our best to offer the best of both worlds—comforting holiday traditions pared with warm weather, beautiful beaches and Caribbean flair.
The Thanksgiving season is the perfect time to express our gratitude for our wonderful guests. Thank you for spending your vacation with us!
Each week, Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana offers guest the opportunity to learn from a local artist how to create landscape paintings. With picturesque views of the palm tree studded beach and crystal clear waters, guests learn how to paint landscapes using just oil based paints and their fingers. Although finger-painted, these are not the masterpieces you created in first grade. Check out the great souvenirs guests created last week.

don’t worry. Here is a craft idea from the Explorer’s Club for kids at Dreams Villamagna Nuevo Vallarta.
Mayan Paper Masks
All you need to create a Mayan Mask is a few pieces of construction paper, child safe scissors, a glue stick and some miscellaneous items to decorate the mask.
With help from an adult, kids can cut out a their mask shapes or use one of the many templates available online. After cutting out the basic shape and holes for the eyes, nose and mouth, it is time to start decorating. There are a million different ways to decorate a Mayan mask, but here are some materials you might want to consider: crayons, colored pencils, chalk, charcoal, markers, paint, fabric scraps, glitter, ribbon, sequins, string, yarn, tissue paper and feathers.
Once the mask is fully decorated, it is time to decide how the mask is to be worn. If you prefer the mask on a stick, similar to the Masquerade mask, simply attached a Popsicle stick, pencil or straw to one side of the mask using tape. If you like the look of a mask that is worn around the head, we recommend using a strip of construction paper glued from the right to the left side of the mask, as the strap. Using string or elastic may rip the paper mask.
