As June quickly comes to a close, we’re looking forward to our celebration of Canada Day on July 1! Though Canada Day is traditionally a Canadian holiday, many of our visitors hail from the northern country and we’re excited to celebrate with them.

Canada Day is a celebration of The British North America Act of 1867 that united two British colonies and a province of the British Empire to form a single country – Canada. Canada Day, or Fete du Canada as the French Canadians say, is celebrated similarly to the American 4^th of July with parades, concerts, festivals and firework displays.

At Dreams Resorts, we’ll be holding a beach bbq, playing music from popular Canadian artists such as Alanis Morissette, Neil Young and Nelly Furtado and decorating with plenty of red and white!
