Celebrating Canada Day

As June quickly comes to a close, we’re looking forward to our celebration of Canada Day on July 1! Though Canada Day is traditionally a Canadian holiday, many of our visitors hail from the northern country and we’re excited to celebrate with them.

Canada Day is a celebration of The British North America Act of 1867 that united two British colonies and a province of the British Empire to form a single country – Canada. Canada Day, or Fete du Canada as the French Canadians say, is celebrated similarly to the American 4th of July with parades, concerts, festivals and firework displays.

At Dreams Resorts, we’ll be holding a beach bbq, playing music from popular Canadian artists such as Alanis Morissette, Neil Young and Nelly Furtado and decorating with plenty of red and white!
