Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa, one of our beautiful resorts located in the Riviera Maya, is known for their various “green efforts”. This past year, they were given socially responsible awards such as the Distintivo “S” award and they were an official sponsor and participant in Tortugatón 2013. However, their Rainforest Alliance verification™ has earned them a spot in the alliance’s Exemplary Practices for Sustainable Tourism publication! They were highlighted in this publication for their implementation of a smart water program and for their aid to the local community. • Smart Water Program: Dreams Tulum management and staff have developed a comprehensive program for the extraction, use, treatment and discharge of water at the resort. This has helped to provide the best quality water for guests and employees.

• Community Service: Dreams Tulum employees supports its neighboring communities by making monetary donations, by making structural improvements to a local school in need and by providing scholarships to 80 students at the nearby universities. Along with this, they created the Tulum Foundation, which provides full university scholarships to youth from low-income families.
