A WOW story highlights a particular instance in which a resort went above and beyond for a guest or group. These moments are special and ones that the guest or group will always remember from their time at the resort.

Our WOW story of the week comes from Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa!

This WOW story started with a special request made by Barbara W. during her check-in at the resort. Barbara mentioned that she was celebrating her 70th birthday as well as her son’s upcoming eighth wedding anniversary. She provided the resort with all of the information needed to put together a surprise for her son’s anniversary, including decoration colors, food and beverage options.

To start off the celebration, the resort offered Barbara a complimentary upgrade and that is when the true WOW moment began!

The resort decorated Mr. & Mrs. Wilson’s room (Barbara’s son and his wife), keeping in mind all of the information they had learned from Barbara.

The resort then planned a private romantic dinner at World Café, offering them a buffet menu including guacamole, mango margaritas and champagne – some of the couple’s favorites. The resort also decorated the room with an arch made of biodegradable balloons and surprised them with a mariachi band as they were having dinner. The most special part of the celebration was when the resort showed them a slide show of family photos set to “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts – a very meaningful song to the couple.

Little did Barbara know, the resort had a surprise planned for her as well! Dreams Los Cabos decorated Barbara’s room for her birthday and had a birthday cake specifically chosen by the resort’s chef.

All of the guests were very happy and grateful for the different surprises and the kind of service they received during their stay. The family hugged the staff on their way out and told the staff it was the best birthday and anniversary they have had, and that they will be back soon!
