Dreams Puerto Aventuras had the pleasure of hosting (the now) Mr. and Mrs. D for a very special romantic getaway that they both will remember forever.

When the couple arrived at the resort, they were not yet engaged. However, Mr. D knew in his heart that it was the perfect time and the perfect place to propose. He asked (the now) Mrs. D to marry him during their first night on property.

Then the very next day, the couple visited the resort’s wedding showroom, excitedly telling resort staff that they have been together for over 10 years, but never had the chance to get married because they have a big family with very busy schedules and always had bills to pay.

But now, it was just the two of them enjoying each other’s company in Mexico, and they couldn’t wait to return home with the wonderful news that they had not only gotten engaged, but had also gotten married!

On the eve of their big day, the couple eagerly went shopping for all of their wedding essentials — the bride’s wedding dress, the groom’s attire, the wedding rings and more.

And the ceremony itself was very important to them. Many of the resort’s other guests attended to witness the marriage, and the newlyweds were very happy, saying that they couldn’t believe they were finally married — it was the best present they could ever give to their family!

After the ceremony, Dreams Puerto Aventuras staff decided to surprise the couple with a romantic oceanfront dinner under a cabana on the beach. They set up a beautiful Japanese table with comfortable cushions around it for seating. The bride couldn’t stop taking pictures of the chef’s presentation of the dishes, and during both the first and second courses, she said that it was the most delicious meal she had enjoyed in a long time.

After the main course of their meal, the surprises continued with a special dessert. Mr. and Mrs. D were shocked when they saw the words, “por siempre mi amor,” which translates to “always my love,” written across the plate.

The phrase was very meaningful to them as it was engraved on both of their wedding rings. The resort’s wedding coordinator noticed this small, yet significant detail and decided to highlight it in an extraordinary way on the couple’s memorable day. She thought, “what better way to highlight the loving phrase than during the sweetest moment of the night — dessert!”

The newlyweds were very impressed, and they praised the service, saying that the resort staff truly took care of every single detail during their unforgettable day.
