Today, we’re spotlighting some of Dreams Punta Cana’s efforts to reforest the beautiful natural environment surrounding the resort. Read on to learn more about a recent day of service our staff participated in!
The Maimón River is a wildlife refuge and is a natural reserve of La Altagracia province, where Dreams Punta Cana is located.
In coordination with the Ministry of the Environment on Friday, July 20, we conducted a campaign to reforest the Maimón River, especially its vulnerable areas for water conservation.
On this occasion, we planted several different types of trees: Caoba (swietenia mahogani), Calla (sideroxylon foetidissimum), Penda (citharexylum spinosum), and Bamboo (phyllostachys aurea) plants.
Staff members from the resort’s different departments participated in the reforestation campaign. About 350 trees were planted that day!
