Each day at Dreams® Resorts & Spas, we strive to offer luxurious beach vacations for each and every one of our guests. We cannot forget, however, the local populations that make the culture of each destination vibrant and full of life. Recently at Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa, our employees’ dedicated time and resources to aid Escuela Básica Yonu, an elementary School in the Municipality of Las Lagunas de Nisibón in the La Altagracia Province.

The Dominican Republic is considered a green country, endowed with beautiful vegetation and wildlife in its forests, rivers and beaches. However, because of the steady reduction of natural vegetation in rivers, caused by improper handling of forest products and as a consequence of the effects of climate change, the flora has been severely affected over the years.

Every Thursday, employees from Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana and guests alike participate in “Walk for a Good Cause.” Our group visits a local school in Cabeza De Toro, nearby to Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana, and bring lunch boxes to the children at the school.
These lunch boxes are specially prepared at Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana and contain items donated by the resort, local businesses and special treats that our guests contribute themselves.

Everyday at Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa is like paradise. While the pristine beaches and lavish rooms are amazing for a guest’s vacation, the staff at Dreams Punta Cana works hard to ensure that even an ordinary day at home can be exciting. That is why the staff of Dreams Punta Cana traveled to the La Altagracia Province to lend a help hand to a community in need. Led by General Manager Mr. Yann Le Guillou, the group traveled to the Bateyes, also known as sugar workers’ towns, of Los Verdes and Los Coquitos to help contribute to the overall growth and development of the community. The goal was to improve the quality of life for the residents by supplying them with food, new clothing and shoes. More than 150 people benefited from their efforts. Take a look at their day!

At Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa, we love lending a helping hand, both for our guests and our local communities. As part of our education program for sustainable development, the Dreams Punta Cana team and guests traveled to the rural elementary school, El Peñon. Located just a short drive away in Nisibón, we were happy to spend time supporting the students and staff of this amazing school.
We spent time working together to help coordinate donation deliveries including school supplies, clothing, toys and much more!
