Swim with the Dolphins Experience at Dreams Cancun

Dreams Cancun Resort & Spa isn’t your ordinary resort. Sure, it has gorgeous beaches, awesome swimming pools and delicious restaurants, but it also has something very unique: Delphinus Dreams Cancun located right on property. Wondering what exactly this experience is like? Here’s a little bit more about it:

Delphinus Dreams Cancun gives our guests the opportunity to swim with dolphins and play with them in our sea water lagoon. The entire Delphinus experience includes a brief orientation and 45 minutes of swimming. Dolphin Experiences take place four times a day at 9 am, 10:30 am, noon and 1:30 pm.

Adults and children at least 3’6” tall may swim alone with the dolphins. Smaller children may also participate if accompanied by an adult. Lifejackets are provided and swimming ability is not necessary. Expert trainers guide your experience and assure the safety of you and the dolphins.

Delphinus Dreams Cancun: Programs

At Delphinus Dreams Cancun, we offer many special programs for our guests. Each offers a unique and exciting opportunity to interact with our six dolphins. Allow us to share information on two of the programs below:

Primax ROB_0689
Primax is a special swimming program that gives you a chance to observe the intelligence and amazing abilities of these animals. Participants are invited to pet their backs, give them kisses and, in return, they might surprise you turning around and asking you to rub their belly.

We believe the most unique part of ROB_0663Primax is the Foot Push activity. Our dolphins will impel you with all of their strength and make you glide through the water! After, you’ll be entertained by our dolphins’ impressive jumps from just a couple of meters away.

Primax schedules: Daily at 9:00 am, 10:30 am, 12:00 am, 1:30 pm (and 3:00 pm on high seasons).

Trainer for a DayROB_0584
If you’ve ever dreamed about training dolphins, this is the program for you. During the program you can experience a deeper relationship with dolphins and learn to communicate with them as trainer.

Our Trainer for a Day program includes valuable information about our breedingROB_0613 programs, veterinary training and scientific research. You’ll also learn training techniques and all the necessary care – like diet and veterinary monitoring – to keep dolphins in optimal conditions.

Trainer for a Day experience lasts 8.5 hours and includes a huge number of activities. The program is available Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. This program includes food and beverages at the Hotel.

A relaxed dolphin with a calm, easy temper, Siij is well liked by his dolphin companions.
