Wedding Wednesday: Dreams Punta Cana

Weddings here at Dreams Resorts & Spas are often like fairytales. The bride, groom and their families travel from their hometown to a far away place to exchange vows and live happily ever after. In fact, many of our brides will agree that saying “I do” at our resorts is a dream come true.

So on this Wedding Wednesday, we wanted to share one couple’s beautiful wedding with you that took place recently at Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa. Below are a few photos from their special day taken by the talented photographer, Katya Nova. Scenes from a Romantic Wedding at Dreams Los Cabos

We are stunned by the breathtaking photos captured at a recent wedding held at Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa so we just had to share them with you! Alec and T Photography were behind the lens for Dean and Courtnay’s romantic beach wedding with a poolside reception. Judging from the photos it appeared that the newlyweds and their guests really enjoyed themselves at Dreams Los Cabos. Even the photographers had a positive experience at our resort:

If you are looking for an all-inclusive resort in Los Cabos to host your destination wedding you may want to look into Dreams. Alec and I have not shot many weddings at the resort; I think around 5 or 6. It seems like every wedding we shoot at Dreams ends up with really amazing photos. The resort staff is always kind and easy to work with, which is a huge plus in my book. When you are planning your wedding you want to have it as stress free as possible. Courtnay and Dean look like they jumped off the pages of Brides Magazine! This couple was beautiful inside and out. It is always great when I get to witness a great couple getting a dream wedding!

Traditional Indian Wedding at Dreams Los Cabos

Indian weddings are very bright events, filled with tradition, ritual and celebration.  Although a destination wedding may not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of a traditional Indian wedding, this particular couple proved that tradition is still possible when they hosted their lavish Sikh Indian wedding celebration at Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa.

The fusion of the tropical surroundings combined with the glamorous colors and ornate Indian details, made this wedding truly unique and special. Anu and Rajeev’s wedding festivities started with mehndi  on the beach, followed by a sangeet, which is an Indian ceremony that takes place before the wedding where family and friends of the couple perform dances to celebrate the upcoming wedding.

The day before the wedding, the couple hosted a Chura ceremony where the bride was adorned with red and white bracelets.  Anu and Rajeev chose a gorgeous set-up on the beach for their Chura ceremony, which included lounge style white couches, a shiny white dance floor and bar, waves crashing and distant mountains.

The wedding day started with a traditional Baraat, a procession where the groom rides to the ceremony location on a horse accompanied by his family members. The wedding ceremony took place in a picturesque setting at Dreams Los Cabos and was performed by a Sikh priest flown in from Mexico City with a full size holy book for the occasion.

The wedding festivities concluded with a lavish reception hosted in a private corner of the hotel. The couple even treated their guests to a fireworks show!

Fairy Tale Wedding at Dreams Puerto Vallarta

We’re always thrilled to see the beautiful and creative wedding ideas that come out of our resorts! In fact, we were delighted when we stumbled on this blog post over at Style Me Pretty Destinations, a blog and resource site devoted to destination weddings. The article focuses on Bride Bailey and Groom Chad, who recently got married at Dreams Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa. The resort provided the perfect backdrop for their event, and all the details and scenery were captured impeccably by photographer Jillian Mitchell. The couple certainly embraced the beauty of the Riviera Nayarit and were able to create a uniquely personalized ceremony and reception that really wowed their guests (and us!).
